We’re so excited to be partnering with the @blackbaltimoredigitaldatabase and Charm City Cultural Cultivation (@charmcity_cc) for a very important conversation next Tuesday about Black Joy + Black Work through the lens of @ihenryphotoproject current exhibition: The Daily Hustle: Work, Joy, and Community in Black Baltimore”.

Join us on Tuesday, January 28 from 6-8pm as our Creatress Brianne Mobley, moderates a Community Conversation centering the exhibition.

The show features the works of the late photojournalist, I. Henry Phillips, Sr. (@ihenryphotoproject), and depicts scenes of Black business, entrepreneurship, industry, and collective organizing in the 1950s. This immersive discussion with scholars, business advocates, and artists will guide us as we explore the intricacies of our past.

Hi. I’m Brianne, Owner + Creatress of BLK ASS FLEA MKT. We are a radical joy movement creating BLK equity for makers, artists + creatives in Baltimore, MD (and beyond). Everything we do is about “keeping the coin in the community”!

The hot cheetoh in “office” needs us to be finally reliant to retain power… that said now more than ever we HAVE to shop BLK, small, local, second hand, etc. Everything you need is already within your IG + social media feeds. Ask a friend or a Cousin!

Introducing our 2025 Photographer [Cousin] in Residence for the BLK ASS PHOTO EXPERIENCE, @niy.vmi!

Niajea is a Baltimore based photographer and cinematographer with a BFA in Screenwriting and Animation [Film and TV Writing] from Morgan State University. Niajea has been an incredible collaborator and a trusted supporter of BLK ASS FLEA MKT, bringing several BAPE experiences to life including BLK ASS FRIDAY '24, BLK ASS HOMECOMING '24, and KWANZAA 101 '23 [peep that last photo cuz].

We are blessed to have her capture the cousins for 2025 and collaborate with her on iconic BAPE sets and experiences. 🙌🏾
